Three promises about your clients’ data
Session audio, transcripts, notes, and chats are the most sensitive thing a practice handles. Here is exactly what PsyFi does with them — in three lines, with no enterprise tier required to get any of it.
Never training data
Nothing you record, upload, or type is used to train an AI model — not ours, and not any model provider we use. That commitment is written into our BAA, not just this page.
Audio deleted within 30 days
Raw session audio exists only to produce your transcript. It is deleted the moment you delete the session, and automatically no later than 30 days after transcription either way.
A signed BAA on every plan
The Business Associate Agreement is executed when you create your account, on every paid tier from $15/month. No sales call, no minimum seats, no “contact us for HIPAA.”
What each promise means in practice
1. Never training data
- Your content is used only to provide the service to you. We do not sell it, market with it, or train models on it.
- Identifiers are stripped before a transcript or chat message reaches a language model, so the model drafts from de-identified text.
- Transcription and speaker diarization run on infrastructure we operate — no third-party audio API ever hears your sessions.
- Every sub-processor that may touch PHI is bound by a BAA with us on terms at least as protective. The no-training commitment flows down with it.
2. Audio deleted within 30 days
- Recording starts and stops only when you say so. Audio is encrypted in transit and at rest from the moment it is written.
- Delete a session and its audio is removed from our servers as part of that action.
- Audio you never get around to deleting is removed automatically by storage policy no later than 30 days after transcription. There is no setting to extend it.
- Transcripts and drafted notes stay in your account until you delete them, encrypted at the application layer on top of disk encryption. Your EHR remains the chart of record.
3. A signed BAA on every plan
- The BAA is executed by clickwrap when you create your account and covers every PsyFi product under one agreement. Read it at app.psyfipractice.com/baa.
- It tracks the structure HIPAA requires of a business associate (45 CFR § 164.504(e)): permitted uses, breach notification, subcontractor flow-down, and return or destruction of PHI on termination.

HIPAA has no certification for software vendors, so we say HIPAA-aligned, BAA available rather than “certified.” Encryption, US-only data residency, access controls, and audit logging are covered in the trust center.
